Snazzy Dog

Every girl deserves something pretty to slip into.

I hadn't been planning on making a dog collar for Zelda.
In fact, two-ish years ago, I purchased some collars for her from Lucky Fiona.
Such an awesome shop with great collars and leashes.
And she has rescued dogs too.  Awesome!
But the other day I was perusing the web (you must think I spend all day on the computer -- which is not true but certainly does seem to sound like it), and happened upon this tutorial for making a non-adjustable dog collar from an old dog collar.
Zelda's collars were getting a bit ratty, and one of them even had a tear.
So, I grabbed some scrap fabric and interfacing (though mine was not fusible which made it slightly more difficult) and spent about one hour, tops, making it.
**Note: The tutorial says to add 4" to your open collar length.  Well, that ended up too small, so I had to add about 8" to make it fit -- with some wiggle room for final adjusting before sewing.

Doesn't she look pretty?
When I put it on her, the kids all oooed and ahhhed, and she lifted her head knowing she was looking quite snazzy.
