I have mentioned before my Scrabble prowess.
So it was surprising when Chad agreed to play Scrabble against me last weekend.
And boy, it was a great game!
I started off and was able to use all of my letters (that rarely happens) on "TROUBLED" which means, of course, 50 bonus points.
The game looked like it would be mine . . . mine . . . MINE! {cue evil laugh}
Then, Chad asked me not to use a certain spot.
Thinking that it wouldn't matter anyway, I said OK.
I don't usually cut deals during games.
Fair and square is how I play.
You make your own game happen. No help.
So this must have been a weak moment for me.
Chad ended up using all of his letters on "EQUATION". Rockin' word; I was impressed.
Now my 50 bonus points didn't matter.
I had the "X" and didn't use it in the most optimal spot. {slaps forehead}
Then he used the word "WHEY" on a triple word square.
I'm losing and have four letters R, R, E, C.
If there's one thing about me, I don't give up easily.
Especially when it comes to games.
A good 15 minutes later, I had it . . . a way to pull through.
Two letters, two words: "PRIZER" and "REWALL".
Yep, there we go.
My repuation is unharmed.
Final score
Chad: 295
Kathrina: 305
{whew!}

Scrabble happens to be my most FAVORITE game in the whole wide world. I think it is going to be a MUST have for the beach trip. You won't get tired of it will you ;)
